So, is CBD addictive?

No, CBD is not addictive, as it is non-psychoactive, meaning that it isn't going to make you feel ‘high’ when you use it.

So you can go ahead and take your favourite Cannaray CBD oils, CBD capsules and CBD gummies with confidence – especially since we triple lab test to ensure they’re pure and THC-free. (You’ll see why below.)

Where does this CBD myth come from?

The reason people sometimes ask if CBD is addictive is because it comes from a type of hemp plant. As you might know, hemp is commonly associated with a ‘high’ sensation that can be habit-forming. However – and this is a big however – those psychoactive properties only come from a compound that’s found within the plant called tetrahydrocannabinol (aka THC). This is entirely separate from CBD, and is filtered out when CBD is picked and processed.

Is CBD oil habit forming?

CBD oil is not habit forming. Because it’s THC-free, you don’t have to worry about becoming addicted to your favourite CBD products. The World Health Organisation backs this up in a report, stating: “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential…. To date, there is no evidence of public health related problems associated with the use of pure CBD.”

Does CBD have withdrawal symptoms?

Since CBD isn’t addictive, you won’t experience any withdrawal symptoms. You can stop and start taking it whenever you like, without worrying about any habit forming tendencies. So, if you forget to take your favourite CBD Capsules on the plane, or run out of your Night-Time CBD Oil Drops, it’s no big deal. You can simply resume taking your favourite CBD products when you’re ready.
