1. Picking the plant
First up, we work with partner farms to source quality hemp plants. Why hemp exactly? Because CBD is abundant in the hemp plant's many flowers, whilst also naturally containing low amounts ofΒ THC.
Once the CBD flowers have been picked, theyβre dried so that theyβre ready for extraction. And that takes us on to step number two...
2. Extracting the CBD
Once the plant has been processed, the CBD is extracted to create an isolated CBD compound, known asΒ CBD isolate. This process also filters away phytochemicals (plant chemicals) and any heavy metals, so you're left with a pure and concentrated dose of CBD that's perfect for mixing intoΒ CBD products.
This isolated ingredient is also free of the bitter, hempy flavours you often find in full-spectrum CBD oils. 3. Creating the CBD oil
Next, the CBD isolate is turned into a CBD oil. What some don't know is that CBD isn't extracted as an oil; it turns into one when you mix it with a carrier oil. This is necessary for your body to be able to absorb the CBD, and the choice of oils can range from olive oil to hemp seed oil to coconut oil.

Coconut oil is classed as a MCT oil (medium chain triglyceride), which helps to increase the absorbency of the CBD.
